Lon Retreat is located in Point Lonsdale, just 90 minutes from Melbourne and 40 minutes from Avalon Airport. It lies at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, providing easy access to local attractions such as scenic coastal walks, vineyards, and beaches. The Queenscliff Searoad Ferry Terminal is a short drive away, linking to the Mornington Peninsula.
Rooms
The retreat features seven luxury suites named after different cloud types, including six one-bedroom suites and one two-bedroom suite. Each suite is uniquely designed, showcasing earthy tones and contemporary luxury to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Suites include amenities like private courtyards, kitchenettes, and mineral water-fed baths for a soothing experience.
Eat & Drink
Guests can enjoy a seasonal in-suite dining menu, prepared using farm-sourced ingredients, which allows for a flexible dining experience. My stay at Lon Retreat was nothing short of magical. The serene environment and luxurious facilities provided the perfect getaway, though I found myself wishing I could have stayed longer than just a couple of days. The unique blend of privacy, tranquility, and personal service truly made this experience unforgettable.
I had an incredible stay at Lon Retreat! The communication from the team was top-notch, making the booking and check-in process a breeze. My room, Nimbus, was cozy with stunning views. I didn’t get to explore much outside due to the weather, but the indoor ambiance and blissful spa treatments more than made up for it. That said, I did wish for better directions to the beach as I got a bit lost. Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing escape that I would love to experience again!
I had an incredible four-night stay at Lon Retreat. The Pileus suite was modern, spacious, and immaculately clean, with a large bathroom and well-equipped kitchen area. The views of the lighthouse were breathtaking, and I loved the relaxing atmosphere overall. The only downside was that it was a bit off the beaten path, but once there, everything was worth it.

The communication from the team was outstanding, though I did miss the opportunity to explore the grounds due to the weather. Overall, a lovely experience that left me wanting to return.
I had a fantastic stay at Lon Retreat for four nights in the Pileus suite. The accommodation was not only clean and modern but also incredibly spacious and comfortable. I especially loved the generous breakfast hamper and the beautiful views of the lighthouse. However, I did wish there were more options for on-site dining during my stay.
